Podcast: 10th Arrogant Steak Cook Off

Seville Rotary Club will be hosting the 10th Arrogant Steak Cook Off (ASCO) to raise funds for non-profit organizations in the Pensacola area. This event is held annually and has raised over $200,000 since its inception. The event features 20 four-person cooking teams competing for awards and bragging rights for the best prepared New York Strip Steaks provided by Winn-Dixie.

Ticket holders will try the teams’ offerings and vote for their favorite with a provided ticket or cash. There will also be a panel of judges awarding top prizes for their preferred steaks. This year’s event will be held Friday, October 14th at 6 p.m. in the plaza of Seville Quarter.

Funds raised will benefit Manna Food Pantry, Junior Achievement, First Tee of Northwest Florida, Boys and Girls Club, ReadyKids!, and the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida. These organizations have partnered with Seville Rotary Club and keep the proceeds from all tickets they sell. Additional funds allow Seville Rotary Club to provide ongoing support for our charitable initiatives throughout the year.

A four-person cooking team is $500 and includes 10 additional tickets to the event. Tickets to attend are $50 and include unlimited steak, beer or wine tickets, salad bar, and loaded potato bar. Team entry fees and tickets can be purchased at www.sevillerotary.com.

This is an age 21+ event. As part of our ongoing concern for the community, Seville Rotary Club asks that anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or health concerns to please refrain from attending. Masks and sanitizer will be available.

Seville Rotary would like to thank our partners without whom this event would not be possible. Thank you to our top sponsor, Winn-Dixie, for providing Certified Angus Beef® brand steaks and support. Each Certified Angus Beef cut is carefully inspected for marbling, maturity, sizing, quality and tenderness with extremely high standards to ensure exceptional flavor and superior quality. We also extend our thanks to our event host, Seville Quarter, and for the generous support received from Gold Ring Gulf Distributors and Tito’s Vodka.
