Podcast: Brad Garrett on Idaho murders

For over two weeks parents across America have been following this disturbing crime, many thinking of their own kids and the 20 million students, many away from home for the first time. Brad, a retired FBI profiler, discusses what the crime scene tells him like where the victims were killed, how they were killed, apparently asleep in the early morning hours, and the significance of using a knife.

I asked Brad if he had ever profiled a similar case.

“I’m trying to think of multiple stabbings. Obviously there have been tons of multiple shootings where a lot of people were shot,” he said. “But I can’t think of one that’s exactly like this.”

Brad added, “And I think that’s the reason that people like me are still talking about it, two and a half weeks later…This one just is hanging out there”
