Podcast: Mass shootings – a challenge for law enforcement

Less than one month into 2023, the United States has totaled 36 mass shootings, according to the Gun Violence Archive. The mass shooting of this past Sunday, which killed 11 and injured 9, has almost exclusively affected the Asian American community.

John Cohen is an ABC News contributor and the former acting undersecretary for intelligence and counterterrorism coordinator at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He talks about the challenges of dealing with the rise in mass shootings and the possible role of social media.
