What is happening with the Port of Pensacola? There are leases expiring this summer and the city council has yet to agree on a request for proposal. Is it because this is an election year? Or somebody has plan to keep the port industrial?
Everything always slows down at the council level. Everything!…unless it’s hiring a city attorney.
We need to keep focus on this antiquated little dinosaur (the port, not Rusty Wells) and figure how to implement the 2004 study that called for a cruise ship and other mixed uses. The city needs the tax and sales tax revenues.
Maybe we allowed a bottle club at the port, the council would get engaged.
