Police report gives details on alleged battery by Pensacon vendor

Last Friday, several local television stations reported on alleged sexual assault that occurred during Pensacon. A worker with a speed dating service that was a vendor at the event claimed her boss had sexually assaulted, according to news reports.

Pensacon even issued a statement about the accusation on its social media: “A vendor was accused of sexual assault by their employee offsite this weekend. Our transport admin took appropriate actions to report the incident to the proper authorities. We have zero tolerance for sexual assault. We are assisting however we can with the investigation.”

Inweekly received the police report late yesterday. The report lists the offense as battery, not sexual assault.

According to the report, Kristen Reynolds, the employee, claimed her boss, Ryan Glitch, was walking with her and other employees in the parking of the Grand Hotel around 8 p.m. on Feb. 23. She said that Glitch made a comment about Reynolds having a “nice ass” and grabbed her right buttock.

A fellow worker witnessed the incident and confirmed Reynolds’ statements.

From the report: “Reynolds was adamant about not pursuing charges against Glitch.”

The most disburbing part of the report is Pensacon staff may have known about Glitch’s behavior and still allowed him to be a vendor.

The police officer wrote the report was for documentation purposes “due to several complaints Pensacon staff had received in the past about Glitch’s behavior.”
