Poll: Appointed superintendent appears headed to defeat

If these polls hold, it looks as though we will still be voting for the Superintendent of Schools here in Escambia County. According to a new Inweekly/Political Matrix poll of 466 100-percent Escambia County voters, it looks as though 53.4 percent still want the opportunity to vote for their superintendent with 38.4 percent saying they favor the appointment of the superintendent by the school board. This leaves us with 8.1 percent still either needing more information or are still uncertain as to where they stand with regards to this issue.

PYP has been able to pick up more than nine-percentage points since our July 7 poll, but the group hasn’t had the time to fully spread its message.
