Powerball comes to Florida

Next Sunday, Floridians will be able to play Powerball- the multi-state (29 state and U.S. territories) lottery with a $300 million jackpot.

Starting Sunday, Floridians will be able to buy tickets for Powerball, the popular multistate lottery game that offers mega-jackpots.

Powerball’s minimum jackpot is $20 million. Over the course of its 16-year history, the average winning jackpot has been $38 million, with a record of $365 million in 2006.

The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 195 million.
