PPD looking for suspect (drawing)

Press Release: A composite drawing of a suspected involved in a recent carjacking and robbery of a fast food employee has been released.

The incident occurred April 23 around 2 p.m. when a 55-year-old male employee left McDonald’s at Ninth and Cervantes streets. The employee told police he had driven several blocks when he was boxed in by a black Lincoln Navigator with dark tinted windows, said Detective Jeff Brown.

A passenger got out of the SUV, pointed a handgun at the victim and ordered him to unlock his vehicle. The victim complied and the suspect ordered him at gunpoint to drive to Ninth and Maxwell streets where he got out and fled westbound on foot. The employee, who was not hurt, then called police.

The suspect was described as a dark-skinned black male in his mid- to late 20s, about 5 feet 10 and average build. He was wearing dark clothing, had long dreads, spoke with a Jamaican accent, and at least two of his front teeth were gold.

A similar incident occurred about two weeks earlier at the same business when another employee was robbed in the parking lot while leaving to make a bank deposit.

Anyone having information on either incident is asked to contact Detective Jeff Brown at 435 – 1980, Detective Dylan Stackpole at 435 – 1974 or the Pensacola Police Department at 435 – 1900.
