Antonio E. Moorer, 27, of Pensacola was arrested today on charges stemming from the shooting of Deputy Ryan Robinson. Deputy Robinson was working with the TAC unit in the apartment complex on July 11, 2012 when he got into a foot chase with a suspect.
The suspect then shot Deputy Robinson in the stomach area, the bullet was stopped by his bullet proof vest. Moorer was able to get away from the scene that night. After the investigation was concluded a warrant was issued for Moorer last week. Today during a traffic stop at “J†St and Brainerd St Moorer was arrested by Pensacola Police Department.
Moorer is charged with vehicle theft, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, murder first degree premeditated. Antonio Moorer remains in the Escambia County jail with no bond.
