Duncan Hunter: market-based health care; opposed to government-subsidized universal health care

John McCain: Affordable health care for every American without a federal mandate; expected to release a detailed plan this summer

Ron Paul: market-based health care; opposed to federal mandate

Mitt Romney:Encourage states to develop market-based health care programs; opposed to a national version of the plan he supported for Massachussets as governor of the state, requiring everyone to get insurance
