PENSACOLA, FL – June 17, 2010 – Today, Charles Bare entered the next phase of his campaign to be the first Strong Mayor of Pensacola. Mr. Bare paid the qualifying fee to get on the ballot and opened his campaign headquarters on Cervantes Street.
“During the petition card phase of my campaign, it became evident that the citizens of Pensacola were not satisfied with the city’s leadership and were looking for someone who had the right education and leadership skills to advance the city after many years of mediocrity.†Bare holds a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Coastal Zone Studies and has held leadership positions in state and federal government and in the U.S. Army.
“Citizens are not looking for recycled ideas. They are looking for someone who is willing to spend four years undoing the bad decisions of the past and working for the voters instead of against them.â€
Bare opened his campaign headquarters on the corner of Cervantes Street and 14th Avenue today to give his campaign team a place to meet and build the future of Pensacola. His grassroots campaign is taking him to the doors of citizens across Pensacola. “I look forward to winning this race in the living rooms, kitchens and garages of Pensacola’s citizens. Our citizens deserve my time and I cannot expect to win this race in August without giving it to them.â€
