Press Release: PSC Holiday Experience Benefits Students and Programs

All aboard the Holiday Express! Your destination is a new, one-of-a-kind Holiday Experience at Pensacola State College at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1.

Your journey will be filled with seasonal sounds and scrumptious goodies as you traverse a star sprinkled campus while benefitting PSC students through scholarships and programs.

“The Holiday Experience begins an exciting new tradition of showcasing Pensacola State College to our community,” says Aaron West, PSC Foundation executive director.

“At the same time, we are able to continue supporting our outstanding students and programs with all proceeds from the event. In previous years, the college’s holiday events raised around $50,000 annually for educational needs. This year we are hoping to surpass that goal.”

Cocktails under a wintery night sky at the PSC Planetarium launch the adventure. Next, guests board the PSC Holiday Express for a warm ride to a savory supper prepared by students in the Culinary and Hospitality programs and then a stroll through works created by the Visual Arts faculty.

Dessert and an old-fashioned sing-a-long with the PSC Concert Chorale await guests when the Holiday Express makes its last stop at the Ashmore Fine Arts Center.

“In bringing our annual holiday event back to the Pensacola campus, we can connect more than 200 guests and donors with the students and programs they support at the college,” West says.

“Most importantly, 100 percent of sponsorship proceeds for the Holiday Experience go directly to support these academic enhancements.”

Jo-Ann and Michael Price are onboard as the Holiday Presenting Sponsor. Other sponsorships are still available.

Holiday Experience is open to the community. Dress is casually festive and tickets are $100 each. For more information, contact the PSC Foundation at 850-484-1560 or foundation@pensacolastate.edu.
