It was gang-related. For some reason, authorities want you to think otherwise. There are gangs in Pensacola. So far they aren’t tied to the national gangs like the Bloods or Crips, but there are gangs and they have guns. Cops on the streets, deputies on patrol and school resources officers will tell you that there are gangs. Even Attorney General Bill McCollum has said there are gangs in Escambia County.
We can play word games and say technically they aren’t gangs. But they are. These aren’t random acts of violences. Teachers are confiscating gang-marked clothing every day at middle and high schools in this community.
