A political committee tied to state Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam raised $106,840 in July, bringing its overall total to slightly more than $1.9 million this year, according to a newly filed finance report.
Large contributors in July included Florida Power & Light and Disney Worldwide Services, which each gave $25,000. The committee spent $22,013 in July and had spent an overall total of $375,343 as of July 31, the finance report said.
Putnam was re-elected as agriculture commissioner last year and is widely expected to run for governor in 2018.
