Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward’s newly seated Urban Redevelopment Advisory Committee is asking another question. It’s the group’s third ‘Question of the Week.’
Urban Redevelopment Advisory Committee Chairman Brian Hooper asked the question—which is actually a three-parter—in a statement released by the city: “Would you consider moving your residence downtown? Would you move your business downtown? Why or why not?â€
The Question of the Week series is designed to gather public input on the future of Pensacola’s downtown area. Committee members will take public responses to the series of questions into consideration when advising the mayor.
Hayward established the advisory committee earlier this year. The group has been tasked with making recommendations to the mayor as to how downtown might best be developed. The next Urban Redevelopment Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for this Friday, April 6 at 9:30 a.m. at Pensacola City Hall.
