My daughter Cat Ellis runs every summer a Miracle Camp for kids who battle rheumatoid arthritis, a disease that Cat herself has suffered from since she was in high school.The kids have special medical needs and Sacred Heart nurses and doctors volunteer time to be counselors (and Muggles). Cat has enlisted many of friends, including the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and her sister Tricia, to help pull off this year’s Harry Potter theme.
Tricia shared this quote from a nine-year-old who was happy and content after a busy day:
“When I get to heaven, I’m going to take my medicine in Reese’s Cups.”
