The next Race and Reconciliation program and discussion will be about “White Privilege,” featuring Dr. Chris Cotten from the Department of Social Work at University of West Florida. Dr. Cotton will examine the concepts of White Privilege, micro-aggressions, and other behaviors or attitudes which are often unconscious to those who benefit from them, but powerfully disadvantage members of marginalized populations.
Talk will be followed by audience discussion. It will be held at the Bowden Building, 120 Church Street, in downtown Pensacola, from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 20. Please join us there, and bring your friends.
Parking is available on the streets of the historic district or in the lots at the corner of Tarragona and Government Streets and Commendencia and Main Streets. Please remember to avoid the two small lots to the immediate right of the building. They are privately owned.
