From Phread: So, cool stuff, I just got a text from some friends in Tallahassee. One of which is a DJ at V89 which is the FSU college radio station (the other is her husband), and the text read that she was doing her shift at the radio station and heard about our station and they got excited and were interested in being a part of RFP. That’s pretty bad ass!
The word is spreading quick and people are excited! Social media is an amazing 21st century tool, internet radio can be amazing if we put the work behind it! I’m stoked that we’re creating such a buzz already! Let’s maintain our excitement and give it our all. We’ve been doing a lot of work, and if we keep at it, soon it will truly be something that runs itself eventually, which is much less work. This email is partially to share my excitement and partly to keep my own personal momentum.
Since my last two live shows I’ve received several new requests from listeners to be a part of RFP. This has real potential which we originally envisioned, but we can’t lose our own excitement before it’s in full swing. I know we’re all busy with our real jobs, but this is something I’m passionate about and I know you guys are too, let’s keep it up and get our branding and promotion in place.
We definitely need our station ID drops in our playlists and in our DJ’s playlists as well. I think we should concentrate on this. I will make a couple tomorrow night after work and insert them into our existing playlists and pass them along to our DJs as well as encourage our DJs to create their own as well encourage them to create their own show intros, etc. I just wanted to pass this along.
