WSRE-TV, PBS for the Gulf Coast, has scheduled “RALLY 2014,†a candidate forum for the August 26 Primary Election. Tune in July 21, 22 and 24 at 7 p.m.
Monday, July 21 features races for US Congress District 1, Santa Rosa County Commission Districts 2 and 4, Santa Rosa School Board Districts 1 and 3;
Tuesday, July 22 features races for Florida House District 3, Okaloosa Clerk of the Circuit Court, Okaloosa County Commission District 4, Okaloosa School Board Districts 1, 3, and 5;
Thursday, July 24 features races for Escambia County School Board District 3 and Escambia County Commission District 2.
The program will be moderated by Drexel Gilbert, an independent producer and Sandra Averhart, WUWF’s News Director. The second broadcast of “RALLY 2014†will take place in October 2014 and will feature candidates for the November 4 General Election.
“RALLY 2014†is produced by WSRE-TV in cooperation with both the Okaloosa County and Pensacola Bay Area Leagues of Women Voters. The purpose of “RALLY 2014†is to give the Northwest Florida community of viewers an unbiased look at the candidates and an opportunity to hear each candidate’s responses to questions on current issues. WSRE-TV provides the program as a public service and encourages all citizens to vote.
