The Laurel Oaks Behavioral Center in Dothan, Ala., and its parent company, Universal Health Services, are facing a lawsuit following another sexual assault of a young resident. The attorneys for the victim say facilities like Laurel Oaks are part of the “troubled teen industry,” a multi-billion dollar network of for-profit youth residential facilities where widespread abuse and neglect are increasingly coming to light. Levin Papantonio Rafferty attorney Caleb Cunningham discusses the lawsuit.
