The House Appropriations Committee and the Senate Criminal and Civil Justice Appropriations Committee have approved HB 21 and SB 24, which would create a compensation program for those who were abused between 1940 and 1975 while students at the now-closed Dozier School for Boys in Marianna. LPR attorney Troy Rafferty discusses his testimony before the committees.

Cox Enterprises is piloting a partnership with DonorsChoose, an education nonprofit empowering public school teachers to request essential classroom materials. The Cox Enterprises STEAM-Powered Classroom Challenge will match up to $100,000 in individual community contributions dollar-for-dollar on qualified STEAM and sustainability-related DonorsChoose projects in schools in under-resourced communities.  Cam Johnson shares Gulf Coast Market is one of ten nationwide locations chosen as part of the DonorsChoose project.
