The kindergarten readiness rate is 49.5% in Escambia County. For 2022, it was 45%. Shannon Nickinson began the Studer Community Institute’s early brain development work with our hospitals in 2018. Those infants started kindergarten last fall.

Last week, a three-judge panel of the Escambia County Circuit Court dismissed the claims of hundreds of regional businesses, wage earners, and municipalities when it granted Skanska’s Motion to Dismiss based on a near-century-old maritime case.
