WCOA today celebrated Dr. Martha Saunders, the president of the University of West Florida, as the 1,000th interviewee on “Real News with Rick Outzen.” The show hit the milestone in less than 11 months since its debut on Aug. 9, 2021.

“The work we’re doing here at UWF for me is a labor of love,” said Dr. Saunders. “I believe in this university, I love this community, I love what the university does for the community and what the community does for the university. It’s a great partnership.”

She added, “And I love your show because it really does a lot to bring focus on what we need to be thinking about every day.”

The Pensacola mayoral candidates discuss their backgrounds, why they are running and what they hope to accomplish. Sherri Myers will be interviewed tomorrow at 7:35 p.m. on the show.

The U.S. Department of Justice has opened an investigation into the PGA Tour’s handling of its players and whether it has engaged in anticompetitive behavior during its ongoing battle with the LIV Golf Invitational Series, the Greg Norman-led, Saudi-backed Golf league, a PGA Tour spokesperson confirmed to ABC News.
