Sheryl Lee Ralph won her first Emmy for best supporting actress for “Abbott Elementary,” making her only the second Black woman to win the award. Lee Jung-jae became the first person from a foreign language show, “Squid Game,” to win best actor in a drama. “Ted Lasso,” which was up for 20 awards, took home best comedy.

Last week Friday, the Joint Legislative Budget Commission voted to fund $5.5 million for Escambia and Santa Rosa projects. State Rep. Alex Andrade has the details.

Escambia County Commissioner Robert Bender shares what happened at the meeting with State Sen. Doug Broxson on predatory contractors last Thursday. He also discusses the county setting up a hotline for consumers having issues with contractors.
