LandrumHR 5K
Runners, walkers and all those passionate about mental health are invited to join the LandrumHR 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 21. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. from the LandrumHR office in downtown Pensacola, located at 219 E. Garden Street.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Lakeview Center, which last year served more than 24,000 adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies, and intellectual disabilities. For more information or to pre-register for the race, visit LandrumHR.com.
HCA Florida West Hospital and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office will be set up on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon in front of HCA Florida West Hospital and the Pine Forest Emergency Room to take back and properly dispose of expired or unused medications from the public.
They will be set up outside so people will not even have to get out of their cars. They can just pull up to our locations and a Sheriff’s Deputy will be there to assist. This event also coincides with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Pen Air® Credit Union (PenAir) hosts Snack Stock, a community snack collection drive benefitting Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Centers. We invite our community to drop off your favorite individually wrapped snacks throughout the month of October in commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness.
