UWF student Tris Weeks, the lead singer/songwriter of her band, Goldmine, is putting on a concert to benefit pediatric cancer patients. She and her band will be performing with the UWF Singers and Mixon Magic dancers at the Clark Family Cultural Center in downtown Pensacola at 7:30 pm on Saturday, Nov. 4. To buy tickets, visit here.

The University of West Florida Historic Trust and Escambia County Medical Society Foundation will open a new exhibit, the “Escambia County Medical Society Foundation Kid’s Clinic,” at the Pensacola Children’s Museum on Thursday, Oct. 26. The Kid’s Clinic aims to make children comfortable with doctor’s visits through interactive exploration and play. Children will be able to wear lab coats, select “patient” toys and engage in medical-related activities. Ross Pristeria has the details.
