Why is Pres. Bush coming to Pensacola? According to the NY Times, it’s a part of a national strategy of having the President visit those Congressional districts that supported him heavily in 2004. Of course, Pensacola is near the top of the list. Local politicos are fighting to be seen with him here – while Republicans in tight races in other parts of the country are avoiding the President lack the plague.
My question is – Are the visits really more to cheer up Pres. Bush than help elect anyone?
