Had some interesting conversations at Martini Night. My sources told me that there are plans to reopen the Rex Theater as a music venue for both live shows and for concert broadcasts. Could be done within the year.
Also, the heirs to PENKO – who owns the buildings at the corners of Palafox and Main streets – are looking at developing a restaurant and wine bar in one of the buildings and selling the other. However, it may a take a year or two for any renovations to be done.
