From the organizers:
Join us for dinner and a panel discussion. As members of a state-wide coalition the Florida League of Women Voters is pursuing placement of a proposed constitutional amendment on the 2016 General Election ballot to restore felon voting rights in Florida. Restoration of voting rights would NOT include felons convicted of murder or sexual assault crimes.
This forum is designed to help participants understand the proposed ballot initiative, restoration of voting rights issues and reasons both for and against this initiative in an open question and answer session.
Our distinguished panelists:
Dr. Matthew Crow – Chairperson of the Criminal Justice Department, University of West Florida
Sara Latshaw – Regional Organizer of the Northwest Florida ACLU
Charles D. Thornton, Sr. – President, NAACP Pensacola Branch
