Roller Gurlz Away Game Tomorrow

Pensacola’s own flat track roller derby team will be playing the Okaloosa Rollers tomorrow, May 12 at 6:30 p.m.

The away game will be held 6261 Old Bethel Road. Tickets are $12, children 10 and under are admitted for free.

The Pensacola Roller Gurlz started their first official, nine month season in March. They aggressively face each bout – or game, but are not consumed with winning.

“We want to give them a good run for their money,” said Alicia Nelson or K-Oz Kitten as her jersey reads.

For the 30 gurlz, it is a love for the sport that makes them get on the rink.

“I have nothing but love for the sport,” said Cheleen Figueroa, a.k.a Warrant Beauty. “The team stays because we love the sport.”
