The annual RMHC Firecracker 5K Run, Walk and Wheelchair Race presented by Hill-Kelly Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram will take place this Saturday, July 2nd at 7:30 a.m. at Seville Quarter in Downtown Pensacola. At the conclusion of the 5K, all kids are invited to join in on the free “Rock Our Socks†Kid’s Fun Run presented by Peaden Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical.
Registration is available at www.rmhc-nwfl.org for $27 through Wednesday, June 29th. At midnight, the online registration will close and paper registrations will be made available at Packet Pick-Up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Packet Pick-Up will be held on Thursday, June 30th from 12 – 6 p.m. at the Ronald McDonald House and on Friday, July 1st from 3 to 7 p.m. at Apple Annie’s inside Seville Quarter. Late packet pick-up and registration will be from 6 a.m. to 7:25 a.m. on Saturday, July 2nd at Seville Quarter.
Participants are encouraged to celebrate the patriotic occasion by wearing red, white and blue. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes in three categories: children, adults and family. Ronald McDonald will mingle with the crowd at the Post-Race Party which will include free refreshments, music and an award ceremony. Vendor booths are also available.
