Running Wild offers Triathlon training

The My First Tri Training Program will remain open for registration through Monday, March 17. The program consists of 12 weeks of training in swimming, biking, and running. Participants learn everything they need to know to complete their first triathlon, including overcoming fear of an open water swim to navigating through the transition area. Participants receive a training schedule with specific weekly goals, as well as one-on-one feedback with the coach.

Training Pre-Reqs:
Before starting the program participants should be able to swim 200 yards, run 2 miles (pace not important) and cycle a minimum of 5-8 miles (about 45 minutes) regardless of speed. Prior to the start of training participants should have: goggles, swim cap, swimsuit, bike, bike helmet and properly fit running shoes.
