The Saenger Theatre needs to add to its volunteer usher roles with the increased volume of shows. In an effort to help keep costs to a minimum for local arts groups, the Saenger Theatre utilizes the efforts of volunteer ushers for all performances at the theatre. The typical usher is someone who enjoys live performances of all types and has 8-12 hours a month to volunteer. They help provide a quality experience for the patrons of the Pensacola Saenger Theatre. Volunteers must be 18 years of age to participate.
Volunteer Usher Orientation will be held March 16. Registration is from 5:30 p.m. – 5:55 p.m. and the orientation and training begins promptly at 6 p.m. Please RSVP to the Saenger Theatre Box Office by calling 850-595-3880.
“There are volunteers from all walks of life at the Saenger Theatre,†said Doug Lee, General Manager of the Saenger Theatre.
Ushers are responsible for seating patrons, directing patrons to services available at the theatre, ensuring the safety of those visiting the theatre and being the ambassadors of the Saenger Theatre.
