Salzman takes on Hill

Press release: Michelle Salzman proudly announces her Republican candidacy for the 2020 Florida State House, District 1, challenging incumbent Mike Hill.

As a Mother, a Veteran, and while working alongside the fine people of Escambia County as a small business owner and through dozens of non-profit organizations, Michelle Salzman recognizes that her neighbors in District 1 deserve aggressive and passionate representation in Tallahassee.  Salzman has served as President of Escambia County PTA and on the State Board of Directors; the Pensacola Mayor Grover Robinson’s Transition Team; and has long been one of the most well-known, non-profit volunteers and female entrepreneurs in the extreme Panhandle of Florida. She is an award-winning philanthropist, earning The Blaise Adams Award from Junior Achievement in 2018 for Distinguished Service and Business Leadership.

“While working long and hard with the Escambia County PTA members, I realized that with hard work and building consensus among my fellow residents of like-mind, positive change and growth can be accomplished in District 1. I want to support my neighbors who want to be heard and respected in Tallahassee”, says Michelle Salzman while on the go. “District 1 has been largely ignored, and it’s my objective to change that.” Salzman plans to continue her public service commitment to her friends and neighbors while serving in Tallahassee. “I don’t want to go to Tallahassee and forget District 1, I want to continue to volunteer with my peers, know and understand the heartbeat of my District, and make sure the fine folks in District 1 are represented in Tallahassee again.”

Election day is Tuesday, August 25, 2020. The Florida District elections will be held concurrently with the statewide direct primary election.
