Santa Rosa County gets more competitive for jobs

Santa Rosa County commissioners last week approved a revision to its incentive program to attract jobs to their county. TEAM Santa Rosa can now offer to reimburse companies between $200 and $800 per employee, per year, if their average salary is at least 85 percent of the county’s current average wage of $14.65 an hour ($12.4525). The incentives will last up to five years.

Side note: I’d like to point out that the $14.65/hr wage is higher than what the ECAT workers are being paid. The $12.45/hour is higher than some ECAT workers are paid. Maybe ECAT should move to Santa Rosa County.
