Saunders and Gaetz make the first cut for UWF president

The University of West Florida presidential search committee met today and made its first cut of the 83 applicants. Two familiar names are on the list of 19 people who will be invited for interviews – UWF Executive Vice President and Provost Martha Saunders and State Sen. Don Gaetz.

The 19 applicants who had the cut today are:

  • Adolph Benavides, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Texas A&M University Commerce
  • Glen Hahn Cope, Professor Emerita of Public Policy and Administration, University of Missouri-St. Louis
  • Ron Elsenbaumer, Senior Advisor to the President for Entrepreneur ship and Economic Development, University of Texas at Arlington
  • Don Gaetz, State Senator
  • Batman Ghorashi, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Tennessee Tech University
  • Forouzan Golshani, Dean, College of Engineering, California State University Long Beach
  • Timothy Greene, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Western Michigan University
  • Yah Gupta, Former President and CEO, SDP Telecom, Inc.
  • Gregory Jordan, President Emeritus, King University
  • Cheryl Lovell, Special Advisory to the Chancellor and to the Chief Academic Officer, Colorado State University
