SC Senate votes to remove Confederate flag

By a 37-3 vote, the South Carolina Senate voted today to move the the Confederate battle flag from the State House grounds to the Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum.

The vote was the second of three readings of the bill. The final vote to send the bill to the House–which requires a two-thirds majority –will be tomorrow.
