School district ‘mini communist state’

Escambia County teachers have been sharing their challenges, issues and views on what is happening in their classrooms. The picture that they paint is very different from the rosy one promulgated by School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas and the Escambia County School Board.

“The school district administration and principals are known to intimidate employees, give them horrible classes if they want someone moved or forced out of education.

They have warned us if we speak negatively about the district we can be ‘in trouble.’  Malcolm rules us like a mini communist state.”
