School stories attract web readers


The Inweekly.net website has doubled its readership over the past two weeks. Tarnished Turnaround had more readers in its first 24 hours online than any cover story in the paper’s history. The news article on the alleged sexual assault at Tate High (Sex and the School District ) is the most read news article for the year.

The School District needs to an open dialogue with parents, teachers and the general public about school safety. Drug dogs are window dressing, “ponies and balloons.” There are bigger problems that drug possession on the campuses.
