SCI Venture Mentoring Service Hosting Info Sessions for Summer 2026 Cohort
Entrepreneurs must attend one of two sessions to apply to the Pensacola program modeled on MIT’s acclaimed mentoring model.
The Studer Community Institute Venture Mentoring Service (SCI VMS) has announced two information sessions for entrepreneurs interested in joining its next program cohort. Attendance at one of the sessions is required to apply.
Sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, June 23 from 5:30–7 p.m. and Wednesday, June 24 from 7:30–9 a.m. at the Studer Community Institute Building Community Room, 220 West Garden Street.
The SCI VMS program is modeled on the venture mentoring framework developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has operated in Pensacola for more than six years. The program pairs selected businesses with teams of experienced mentors who provide ongoing guidance in business strategy, marketing, operations, finance, and scaling.
Mentoring teams consist of successful business leaders, industry experts, and seasoned entrepreneurs who volunteer their time to support emerging local companies. Participating ventures also take part in networking events and educational workshops throughout the program.
The program is designed to help businesses navigate critical growth phases and build sustainable foundations for long-term success.

History
In 2020, the Pensacola Entrepreneur Initiative opened The Spring Entrepreneur Hub to serve as the front door to Pensacola’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, connecting small business owners with resources, mentoring, and workspace.
The Venture Mentoring Service was part of the programs at The Spring and quickly garnered attention for pairing entrepreneurs with three to four experienced mentors. Supporting partners include the Studer Community Institute, FloridaWest, UWF, Pensacola State College, and area chambers of commerce.
