Scott and lawmakers set to put growth in local hands

The Florida legislature doesn’t want local governments regulating fertilizer (Rep. Clay “Cow Patty” Ingram) or shooting rangers (Sen. Greg “Lock & Load” Evers). In Northwest Florida, developers sit on many of the boards. Developers, engineers and contractors are some of the biggest contributors to the campaigns of the county commissioners. Less regulation is generally seen as good—but who will be writing the few regulations that the counties will have?
