Attorney General James Uthmeier has appointed Sandy Sims to the Board of Triumph Gulf Coast, the nonprofit established to direct funding to address the 2010 BP oil spill’s economic damage.
Sims worked for Gulf Power for more than 30 years , holding various positions within the Customer Sales & Service, External Affairs and the Customer Operations organizations. She lasted served as the Director of External Relations.
The Niceville native has chaired the Niceville Chamber of Commerce, the WSRE public television Board and the Northwest Florida State College Board of Trustees. She was also a founding Board member of Impact 100 of Northwest Florida.
A graduate of Fort Walton Beach High School and the University of West Florida.
