For the second time around Baptist Heath Care is talking about uniting with West Florida Hospital. In August 2006, talks between West Florida Hospital and Baptist Heath Care about a possible cost-saving alliance have been called off after news was leaked to the press.
This time Al Stubblefield, president and CEO of Baptist Health Care, has confirmed to the PNJ that “officials with his company are negotiating with HCA, which owns West Florida Hospital, about the two facilities joining forces.”
