As of 11 a.m., the Pensacola International Airport has not seen any impact from the government shutdown on its flights, but the FAA has included several connecting airports on its list of reductions.
“It’s a very fluid situation and very difficult to forecast given the real-time impacts in other airports and airspace,” Airport Director Matt Coughlin texted, “I’m assuming a trickle down impact from the 40 that they’ve decided to cut back ops on.“
He added, “Looking at the board just now, we appear to be in good shape. Tomorrow could be a different story. “
