The University of West Florida College of Business Leadership Speaker Series will host a lecture, titled, “Monetary Policy and Employment Markets,†featuring guest speaker Dr. Tom Cunningham, regional executive for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta on, Monday, Feb. 10 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the UWF Conference Center.
The lecture will feature a relaxed, interactive open discussion on monetary policy and the employment market. Coming out of the 2009 recession, accommodative monetary policy has helped the economy’s performance and labor market growth, but there is continual room for growth, in addition to various questions about the true health of labor markets.
Cunningham works closely with academic communities, businesses and other groups to enhance Atlanta’s Federal Reserve collection of grassroots economic information, while also serving as an active member of the Bank’s Center for Real Estate Analytics’ executive committee.
As a member of the Federal Reserve System’s Information Security Group and Technology Council, Cunningham previously served on the Bank’s personnel, information technology and risk management committee.
