ServisFirst Bank names Board of Directors

Press Release: ServisFirst Bank Pensacola announces that it has brought together a diverse and experienced group of Pensacola corporate leaders to serve as the Bank’s Advisory Board of Directors. The ServisFirst Bank Pensacola Board includes Thomas B. “Bo” Carter as Chairman of the Board and Chief Development Officer, Leo J. Cyr, Mark S. Greskovich, Ray Russenberger, Roger Webb and Thomas M. Bizzell.

“This is a dynamic group of individuals who share a strong commitment to the values upon which ServisFirst Bank was founded,” said Rex McKinney, President of ServisFirst Bank Pensacola. “They bring a diverse set of backgrounds in corporate and financial management to help guide and oversee the success of this bank.”

Members of ServisFirst Bank Pensacola’s Board of Directors are well-respected Pensacola area residents and business professionals. Following is a brief background on each of the Board of Directors’ accomplishments:

Thomas B. “Bo” Carter – Chairman of the Board & Chief Development Officer

Bo Carter is a seasoned banker with 38 years of banking experience. He has held many community leadership roles and is a proven business development specialist with an ability to structure organizations to gain maximum production. A graduate of Furman University, he majored in Business Administration. Carter also received a diploma from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, as well as a Bank Management Certificate from the First American Management Institute at the Wharton School of Business. He began his banking career with FNB DeKalb County in 1973. In 1986, Carter was named Chairman, President and CEO of 1st American Bank of Pensacola, N.A. where he served until 2001, when he was named President of Bank Of Pensacola/Coastal Bank & Trust. He held that position until retiring in 2010.

Carter is a current member and past President and Director of the Pensacola Downtown Rotary Club, current member of the Pensacola Mayor Transition Team 2010, past appointee of the Escambia County Investment Advisory Board, and member of the Naval Aviation Foundation Finance Committee.

Leo J. Cyr

Leo J. Cyr, originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science, Engineering degree. Upon graduation, he served in an elite Airborne Battalion Combat Team overseas and as a training manager at the Army Infantry School before leaving the Army as a Captain. Cyr was then employed by Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. until 1984. For 21 years, he held a variety of telecommunications management positions with MCI. During this time he also served as the Chief Operating Officer of Caprock Communications and Clearwire Technologies, Inc. and as the Chief Executive Officer of UniSite Inc, and Network Telephone Corporation. Currently, he is President of Marina Management Corporation in Pensacola, a position he has held since October 2006. He currently serves on the Board of the Northwest Florida Marine Industry Association and is the Managing Member of Zachary 39 LLC, owner and manager of a residential development in Crestview, Florida.

During his years of business experience, Cyr has served on the Board of Directors of CapRock Communications, the Board and Audit Committees of ITXC Corporation and Teleglobe International, the Board of the Wireless Communications Association, and the Boards of UniSite, Clearwire, Network Telephone Corporation and Centerpin Technologies.

Mark S. Greskovich, DMD

Mark S. Greskovich, DMD is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He completed his post-graduate residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. A Pensacola native, Greskovich returned there in 1992 to start his own practice.

Ray Russenberger

Ray Russenberger established Network Paging Corporation in Lafayette, Louisiana, in 1985 and relocated the corporate headquarters to Pensacola in 1989, where he launched Network USA, Inc. By 1995, Network USA had become the nation’s largest network of independent private paging operators. In October 1995, Russenberger merged Network USA with A+ Communications, a publicly held paging company. He then founded Network Telephone Corporation in 1998. Like Network USA, Network Telephone was also named twice as one of Inc. Magazine’s 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America.

In 1995, Russenberger was named Emerging Leader by the Pensacola Area Chamber of Commerce. In 1996 he founded Marina Management Corp. and Seville Harbour, Inc. He received the Pensacola Junior College Leaders and Legends Award for Technology in 2005 and currently serves on the Board of the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition, the Pensacola State College Board of Governors, and the Pensacola Naval Aviation Museum Foundation. He served on the Board of 1st American Bank from 1994 to 2001, and continued as a Director at Bank of Pensacola until 2005. He remains a Director Emeritus at what is now Coastal Bank and Trust.

Roger Webb

Roger Webb began his career with Wendy’s when Dave Thomas hired him as a part-time crew member in Columbus, Ohio. Webb continued to work at Wendy’s through college and after graduating from Ohio State University became a full-time employee. In the early 1980’s Webb left Wendy’s International to manage his family’s business, and in 1985 he became the sole owner of the Wendco Corporation, a company that owned eight Wendy’s restaurants in the Pensacola area. Currently, the Wendco Group has a total of 38 restaurants and employs over 1,000 people in Northwest Florida and South Alabama. Webb is a past trustee and President of the Wendy’s National Advertising Program and is a current Board Member and Chairman of OFFA, Wendy’s National Franchise Association. He also currently sits on seven local not-for-profit boards.

Webb is a recipient of the Child Advocate of the Year Award from the Children’s Home Society of Florida and has initiated “Wendy’s Golden Apple Academy” with the Foundation for Excellence to benefit recent Escambia County, Florida “Teachers of the Year.” In 2002, Roger Webb was inducted into the Wendy’s Hall of Fame for his demonstrated long-term achievement and significant contributions to the Wendy’s system.

Thomas “Tom” M. Bizzell, CPA

Thomas “Tom” Bizzell, an eighth-generation Pensacola native, joined the U.S. Army Artillery and then went on to graduate summa cum laude from the University of Southern Mississippi. He became a Certified Public Accountant, founded Bizzell, Neff, & Galloway P.A. in 1976 and is its Managing Shareholder. In addition to being a CPA, he is also a Registered Investment Advisor. In his years of experience, Bizzell was also President of BNG Financial Services Inc., Holiday Harbor Marina Inc., and Sunset Grille at Holiday Harbor LLC.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Louisiana State Society of CPA’s, Irish Politicians Club, Omicron Delta Kappa fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi fraternity, University of Southern Mississippi Alumni, 1000 Friends of Florida, and numerous other political and charitable organizations.
