Seville Rotary’s annual Arrogant Steak Cook Off will be held on Friday Oct. 24 at 5:30 pm at Seville Quarter. Teams of four will be provided steaks to prepare for event attendees in any manner they want. Both event attendees and the team of judges will judge the best steaks. Awards will be given in each category. Steaks will be provided but teams will have to bring their own grills and preparation equipment as well as tents and tables. This is a fun, non-sanctioned event to raise funds for local charities and community projects, including West Pensacola Elementary School and United Way.
There will also be raffle prizes for those in attendance. Goldring and Escambia Bay Home Brewers will provide free beer with admission to the event for all spectators and teams. There will also be a mashed potato bar to accompany the steaks. We expect up to 35 teams to enter the steak contest.
Entry fee for a team of 4 is $250. Teams who pay the entry fee to cook will be given 10 tickets to sell for $25 each to re-coup their entry fee of $250. The cost to attend is $25 and all team entries or entry tickets can be purchased at www.sevillerotary.com.
