Sinclair and DIRECTV to Offer Rebates for Mediacom Cable Customers Who Switch to DIRECTV

Mobile/Pensacola (November 7, 2006) – Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) is reminding Mediacom (Nasdaq: MCCC) cable customers that if they switch their service to satellite provider, DIRECTV, Inc., they will be entitled to receive a rebate offer.

Sinclair has taken this action in an effort to ensure Mediacom subscribers continue to get some of the most popular programming available on Medicaom’s cable system, as offered by Sinclair’s television stations. Sinclair’s stations are scheduled to be removed from Mediacom’s cable system on December 1, 2006.

A $100 rebate is available to people who switch to DIRECTV in the Mobile-Pensacola (WEAR-ABC/WFGX-MNT) markets by calling 1-800-381-4388.

In order to qualify for the rebate, which will be paid in the form of a $10 bill credit each month until the full amount of the rebate has been paid, potential subscribers must meet certain qualifications, which will be described when the applicable 800 number is called.
