The REX Theatre, built in 1910, was once a popular part of the downtown Pensacola social scene, and local nonprofit Harvest Outreach is nearing completion of a two-year, $2 million project to restore the REX Theatre to its former glory. Once completed, the venue will play host to small-scale theatre productions, community arts events, concerts and weekly services for Harvest Church.
