Press Release: Thanks to shares on social media and tips from the community, homicide suspect Terrance Jarod Hartley was located last night in the area of Jordan Street and Grandview Street.

Hartley was wanted for the April 14th murder of Dequarius Durant. Deputies, the ECSO Bike Unit and members of the Marshall’s task force responded to the area at approximately 10:30 pm and observed the suspect in a vehicle. Hartley refused to stop and a pursuit ensued. The suspect fled back to the area of Jordan Street where he resides and then ran on foot. K9 Baro tracked and located Hartley who was hiding in the bushes. Hartley was arrested and charged with Homicide, Fleeing and Resisting Officers.

“I would like to congratulate the combined team effort of deputies from E South, our Bike and K9 Unit and the Marshall’s Task force in apprehending a dangerous homicide suspect,” Sheriff David Morgan said, “I also would like to thank the community for their tips and social media shares. This truly was a combined effort.”
